Visceral Manipulation
addresses symptoms that occur not only in the abdominal cavity, but
throughout the whole body. Symptoms can range from
musculoskeletal/structural to nervous, urinary, respiratory and of
course digestive problems. Nearly everything we do affects the internal
organs from diet to exercise (or lack of exercise), pollution, posture,
pregnancy, surgeries and medications. All of these things affect the
harmony the organs need to move freely and work properly.
If you know anyone who has flare-ups from old injuries? These flare-ups could be caused by adhesion's in the abdominal region.
This is, or can be, a mostly clothed modality. I need access to the
stomach area from the hips bone to the xiphoid process (where the ribs
come together).

Lymphatic Massage: Affects
the whole body and the immune system. Lymph nodes work on two basic
principles, breath and muscle contractions. When we are sick, sit at a
desk all day or for whatever reason, we don’t get a full breadth – one
that inflates the chest and abdomen, or get good muscle contractions,
our lymph system is not able to remove all the waste our bodies produce
at the cellular levels. This waste does not disappear, instead it
settles into out muscles, joints and organs causing these systems not to
function properly. This is not noticeable at first, but over time it
builds so allergies get worse, you get sick more often, wounds don’t
heal as quickly, etc…
The Lymph system is key to overall health and can help with
fibromyalgia, insomnia, depression, anxiety just to name a few. It is
responsible to transporting hormones throughout the body, fat soluble
vitimans A, D, E and K which are picked up by the lymph system and
transported to the heart where they then get into the blood stream. The
Lymph nodes also host the B and T cells which is the fist defense
against infections. B cells are created in the bones and T cells are
created in the Thymus, but reside in the Lymph system throughout the
body.
Deep Tissue massage includes some trigger point, myofascial
release and a modality called Tui-na, which incorporates some
acupressure points along with removing stuck muscles from each other.
Most Deep Tissue work is based on removing adhesions within the fascia,
which surrounds all our bones, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Fascia is
deep as well as superficial and the best was to explain it is if you
ever had a loose thread in some fabric and pulled on the thread and you
get the fabric to bunch up in all sorts of ways. Well when you get
adhesions within the fascia it does the same thing excepts it not flat
like a piece of fabric.
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word
representing universal life energy, the energy which is all around us.
It is derived from rei, meaning “free passage” or “transcendental
spirit” and ki, meaning “vital life force energy” or “universal life
energy” So Reiki involves the transfer of energy from practitioner to
patient to enhance the body’s natural ability to heal itself on four
level, the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.
